Zheng He / Cheng Ho is a very important person of Chinese history. He was a Hui Chinese mariner, explorer, diplomat and fleet admiral, who made the voyages collectively referred to as the travels of "Zheng He to the Western Ocean". Two books called "1421: The Year China Discovered the World" and "1434: The Year a Magnificent Chinese Fleet Sailed to Italy and Ignited the Renaissance" are written by retired submarine commander Gavin Menzies positing that the Chinese(Zheng He's Armada explored the world before Europeans.

Week 6 Task 2 - Al Gore, wins Nobel, Inconvenient Truth

This movie is about Al Gore. On October 12, 2007, Gore was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, which was shared by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, headed by Rajendra K. Pachauri (Delhi, India). The award was given "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change. Gore and Pachauri accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 in Oslo, Norway on December 10, 2007.

Week 6 task 1 - An Inconvenient Truth Trailer

Have you guys seen this movie yet? This isn't a new movie in the United States, this film was premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and opened in New York and Los Angeles on May 24, 2006. An Inconvenient Truth is an American documentary film about global warming, and it is presented by former United States Vice President Al Gore. This is a great movie, all people who are living on the Earth have to know about this inconvenient truth !

Week 5 Task 4 - Hong Kong 10 years after handover BBC

This video is about my hometown, Hong Kong, where was a last colony of the United Kingdom before 1997, and the U.K. had governed Hong Kong for about 150 years long. Since 1997, Hong Kong was handed over to mainland China form U.K. , but the Chinese government agreed to let Hong Kong remains unchanged until 2047. So Hong Kong didn't have any big changing after 11 years(2008). However, to be honest, Hong Kong people are still really miss the governed of the U.K.
